At the edge of the slope to the S.W. of the Station I picked up
three more empty shells, and also a piece of cloth and pair of clogs (in Court) which were identified as property of B.543.
On the green some 9-10 feet from the compound wall and to the west of the gate, I found another pair of clogs and a black turban (in Court) which were identified as the property of B.9.
I observed what appeared to be blood stains on the outer side of
the compound wall near that point. I found no other revolver
shells outside the compound. I examined the ground carefully.
Had 6 revolver shells been lying near the S.V. corner I could
not have missed some of them. Inside the compound and outside
the back door I found 6 empty revolver shells close together,
and one empty rifle ammunition clip. 1 found no shells or live

rounds and six empty revolver shells, also 5 rifle ammunition
clips.
When I entered that night the back door of the Station was
locked; the barrack room door opposite the charge room was
closed but not locked.
I handed over all the empty shells I had found, together with oth
other shells I had received from the D.I... to the Police
Armourer. There were, I think, about 90 of them, including 16
revolver shells.
